Slowing down and staying consistent

10 small wins outweigh one giant less frequent wins in the long term

Last year I found myself in a rut, like most of us do time to time.
I’d managed to become overwhelmed by my own life as a consequence of my own actions.
I wasn’t necessarily doing anything groundbreaking either, from the outside, it would’ve seemed like life was normal.
The reality was, I had stretched myself thin.
My brain preoccupied by 100+ (Unproductive) daily tasks.
What do you accomplish by rushing? Trying to accomplish everything in the next year? Walking fast to save time.
The answer for me:
Nothing, in fact, the result was negative.
You distract yourself from behaviours that move the needle in your domain (whether it be personal, professional, physical etc) & focus on tasks that keep you busy.
I wrestled with this feeling for months without realising what it was.
It’s only when you stop doing these tasks when you realise how low the relative impact of their completion was.
The beauty in living & remaining productive is in slowing down & being consistent.
Every day doesn’t need to be groundbreaking winner or a spellbinding discovery, but a step in the right direction.
This isn’t to say do nothing. This is to say, do less, focus on activities that you know will move things forward.
